Miraflores Malecón

Look out over the Pacific coast and choose how far to walk. You do not need to cover the Malecón from end to end.

What to expect

A walk along the cliff top is different from a visit to the beach below. On the Malecón, choose a park as your destination and enjoy the coastal view. Parque del Amor, with Víctor Delfín's El Beso sculpture, gives you a recognisable point to aim for. The distance need not be the achievement.

How it fits into a journey

Add a section of the Malecón to your stay in Miraflores. Keep any onward journey to Barranco separate from the walk so that stopping remains an option.

Practical answers

Do I need to walk the whole Malecón?

No. Pick a section near your accommodation or a park you want to see. Extend the walk if you feel like it at the time.

Does walking the Malecón mean visiting the beach?

Not automatically. The promenade follows the cliff top; a trip down to the coast is a separate plan. Check the specific access and return route for that visit.
