Barranco and the Bridge of Sighs

See the Puente de los Suspiros as part of Barranco, alongside Bajada de Baños, La Ermita and time to sit down somewhere.

What to expect

There is no need to rearrange a whole city day for a bridge photograph. The Puente de los Suspiros makes more sense alongside Bajada de Baños and the area around La Ermita. Choose a small circuit through Barranco and include the bridge in it.

How it fits into a journey

Begin with Parque Municipal and choose which places around the bridge you want to see next. Plan a meal in Barranco and arrange your return from the end of your walk.

Is the bridge worth a separate day trip?

Make it a visit to Barranco instead. Combine the bridge with its surroundings and a pause rather than travelling there and back for one photograph.

Can I allow a fixed walking time?

Choose the places and the route that suit you first. A look at the bridge, a walk along Bajada de Baños and a meal make very different visits.
