Huancayo brings a highland city and Wanka culture. Around Oxapampa you can walk in mountain forest and continue to Pozuzo. Huánuco, Tingo María and Pucallpa point in another direction, from archaeology to wooded hills and water. These are alternatives, not a checklist for the same week.
Start with five days in Oxapampa–Pozuzo or choose Huánuco–Tingo María. Allow a separate extension for Pucallpa.
